Fellowships

Getting to know each other is time well spent. The people of this parish are its greatest resource and our connectedness is a key to the strength of our vibrant community. Opportunities for fellowship include chatting over coffee, Fellowship Sunday, Newcomers’ Dinners, informal gatherings or more structured ones. We have groups for teenagers, young adults, older adults and for all ages. There are small groups that meet monthly for dinner, and others that meet weekly for intensive study.

There is a place for you here.

Coffee Hour

Coffee hour is held in Nourse Hall following each Sunday morning service. Stop by for coffee, cookies, lemonade, and conversation.

Fellowship Sunday

On the last Sunday of every month, we set aside the time between the 9:15 and 11:15 services for parish fellowship to celebrate our greatest treasure—each other. This ministry provides a way to meet others and to find out about the many ways you can become an active part of the parish. The fellowship is hosted each month by a different parish group, so that each group can share their work and ministry with other parish members. Foyers

Once a month, from late fall to early summer, several groups, of about ten people each, gather at homes to dine and enjoy each other’s company. These gatherings are devoted to getting to know each other and having fun together. Each month, a different member of the group acts as host to their group. New Foyers groups form in September. PhotoNewcomers’ Dinners

Throughout the year, St. Alban’s formally welcomes newcomers over dinner and fellowship. The dinners are on Sundays 6:30–8 pm in Satterlee Hall Trenbath, and listed in the weekly schedule. These dinners provide a casual setting for newcomers to meet other parishioners as well as newcomers. Invitations are mailed to newcomers who have filled out welcome cards (online or found in the pew racks) or who have signed a page in a guest book. Everyone at St. Alban’s is invited to be a part of this ministry of hospitality. Parishioners can help by bringing a dish to share—entrée, side dish, or desert—and joining our guests for dinner and conversation. Beverages are provided. Rector’s Aid

This women’s service organization meets throughout the year for fellowship and project planning. Rector’s Aid sells Christmas cards, note cards, cookbooks, tote bags and aprons. Their bake sales are much anticipated. The proceeds are given to the Rector to be used for projects within the parish.
