God’s Kingdom, Here and Now
We, God’s people at St. Alban’s, are a parish rich in resources, challenged by opportunities, alert to the imminence of God’s transforming grace.
We are a village in the city. We are family. We are the living face of Jesus Christ.
We are pilgrims. We prayerfully seek God’s direction, in this strange and changing world—and yet we know that it is not through our intentions but in our acts that we will be transformed.
Our task now is to seize the opportunities before us, to fill the space that God has prepared, to celebrate and share the unconditional love of Jesus Christ.
We want to be a community that lives its faith, in the pews on Sunday and in our lives the whole week through. We aim to make St. Alban’s a welcoming home, spiritually and physically. We seek an endowment that is big enough to sustain and deepen the outreach we have already begun.
We want to engage every individual in this parish, tap every talent, nurture every need. We expect leadership from the young, wisdom from the old, commitment from us all. This broken, troubled world demands no less.
We know that God is calling us. To come together in joyful faith. To go out, together, in the spirit of Christ.
